The Social Ref is a great way for refs/umpires at all levels to increase their knowledge and performance. With so many terrible umps and refs throughout sports, this book is a must read for anyone who wants to do the job right. The author clearly knows what he is talking about and it is clear Shawn Madden has been umping/reffing for a long time.
