Just as I remembered it but better. The controller functionality is great and fun as hell to use so I can sit back and enjoy. Many reviews out there are critical of its basically copy and paste style of the original but I'm not sure what they expected since the devs said that's exactly what it was. It's not a remake or reimagining, it's a well done remaster. They wanted to preserve the feel of the original game without changing too much except the visuals. I have a few irks but nothing to lower my review over.
1. Lack of TCP/IP LAN support since it was originally promised.
2. I lost my first offline character because I gave them the same name as my online character. However, this has already been patched so kudos to the devs.
3. While using controller you can't buy a stack of TP/Identify scrolls to fill your tomes like you can with keyboard and mouse by holding shift before clicking to purchase (unless I haven't figured it out yet)
4. No respec whenever I want. I wish they added this only because I sometimes choose the wrong skills and don't realize until a few levels later.
All in all though it's exquisitely beautiful and the visuals make Diablo III look dated. I absolutely adore that they didn't change the way the game plays because it would lose its charm.
