1 star is too high to rate this movie. If you're a fan of the books do not bother watching expecting anything to match. I was so excited when I originally heard they were making this movie and when it turned out to be Disney I was optimistic that they would at least have solid funding and resources. They clearly did not read the books but received a summary of names and forced their own miserable story into a world I absolutely loved from the books. Worst "adaptation" I've ever seen. I made it over halfway and couldn't finish. The longer I watched, the more upset I became. I truly wish they would have named it something else and just made it a cheap kids movie. The Artemis Fowl series deserves better than this.
