Recall being into death metal at the time, specifically Morbid Angel, Incantation, Autopsy, Carcass Obituary... anyways, I went to this kinda street outreach for youth with friends at the time and heard this blasting on the stereo, wow. This blew me away. The speed, the aggression, Glen Bentons hellish screams, pounding double bass unrelentingly beating the living snot out of anyone in ear shot. I honestly thought it was a level up in absolute aggression from anything I had heard until then. They successfully made speed interesting something I dislike with a lot of hardcore bands. They think it's cool to play something really fast but to me it sounds boring without some technicality. This album, to this day, will always get a reaction from friends or coworkers oblivious to this kind of music. REVOCATE ME!!!!!!!
