I liked the second season, which was the first one I watched. Gene and Sharon were quite disingenuous, but overall the contestants were tolerable and some were even really nice. So I moved onto the first season and WOW! It was terrible. While some of the contestants seemed nice, it was a horrendous mess. You can expect to be constantly assaulted by a number of the couple’s petty, childish, and outright rude comments. It was more about interpersonal drama than about the actual hotel stay. I just hated it. The mother and daughter duo should not have been on tv, except perhaps cast as the evil stepsisters in a modern day Cinderella film. It was worse than high school. Like banging your head against a wall.
