Terrible acting, scrap script! Why did Burton accept this role? Totally miscast and not believable performance.

Fascinating portrayal of Oscar Wild's last days after his imprisonment, which period was not covered in the excellently cast previous film starring Stephen Fry. Happy Prince was not disappointing, despite its dark subject matter, due to Rupert Everett's excellent performance with a wonderful supporting cast.

Very disappointed with Jonathan Rhys Meyers whose performance was dreadful despite knowing him to be a good actor in other roles. Both Vanessa Redgrave and Joely Richardson gave outstanding and at times riveting performances, which made the film possible to watch. Overall the direction and tempo of the film destroyed the famous story-line making it boring and exasperating to watch.

Brilliant performances by whole cast

Upset that YouTube blocked episodes 2 and 6 so I can't watch this excellent complete series.

Of course Harvey Keitel does not disappoint. The story holds one's curiosity and interest until the shocking end. But there are a number of plot holes in the story line, the biggest was her discovering 'the ring' under the front seat of his 'new' car. He had not been able to return to his flat; he was a hunted man; his taxi went into the river with him it. How is it possible he had another ring to hide in the new vehicle? If he was the killer, he would have ditched the ring long ago or it would have been hidden in his flat or taxi. If he really was the killer, surely he would have suspected her when she buys him both the red jacket and a ring. Poor script which ignores inconsistencies.

Very bad story line. There was a much better realistic portrayal in the movie The Man Who Captured Eichmann 1996. This is poorly told despite brilliant actors. Its painfully slow and hard to believe it happened the way the script is written. Disappointing. Don't recommend this movie.
