Have you ever sat back and wondered: what would've happened if World War 2 was won by the Axis Powers? Were you curious about parallel universes and if there was a show out there that did a wonderful job taking this concept and combining it with the first concept I mentioned? Bonkers right? Like, c'mon, who would have the guts to make a show this controversial? Well, Amazon came along and blessed those full of curiosity with The Man in the High Castle. I do understand viewers' distaste for the few details that the writers had implemented/left out in the show (characters not being brought up again/killed off quickly with no explanation, etc.) Despite this, what I loved about MITHC's characters was that they were written with such complexity. Do we not agree that some of the decisions that these characters made accurately represented how we as humans would act if society warped into a regime? It's human nature; whether it be influenced by communist ideas or betraying allies in an instant to save yourself, the show depicted how desperate these people were to just survive the day. Plus, the decisions by the characters were indeed insane and had you ripping your hair out by the time the episode ended. By the end, however, their decisions made you (the viewer) sit back, and seriously think to yourself: what would I have done in their place?
Please, watch this show. It leaves you absolutely emotional at the end and so thankful that our history didn't dive into the hell that is, Man in the High Castle.
And remember: "The future belongs to those who change it..."
