Honestly save yourself 16 hours and don’t watch this awful, slow, predictable and non-existent ‘love story’ ‘drama’ No chemistry between the leads WHATSOEVER. Whoever did the casting for this shouldn’t be hired ever again. I guess the casting for supporting actors wasn’t too bad. But the leads were a strong NO. If you must watch it, don’t go past episode 5, actually 3, maybe even episode one cos nothing actually happens on this show. The most interesting aspect of the show was the sister with her closeted husband. And their daughter was brilliant. Probably the best thing about the show was the little daughter. So again just the supporting actors. Eurghh can’t believe how much time I wasted hoping it would get good and it just doesn’t.

Where do I even begin with this tedious show. I’ll start with the good, Reese’s acting. There’s a reason she won an Oscar. That’s the end of the good. The rest is bad. The whole series is unnecessarily and unprofessionally dragged out. The first three episodes should’ve been one episode. And the episodes did not need to be an hour long because they were padded with drivel. Kerry Washington is a one dimensional actress and there’s always this arrogant aura about her even when she’s not meant to be arrogant. So it’s either she is narcissistic or she is just not that great an actress. It had sparks of good but that was about it. It was more a soap than a miniseries. I’m surprised Reese was even involved with this hogwash. Oh well I guess. But ione thing’s for definite, this show is undeservingly overhyped.

I think Nicola Walker is totally wrong for the role and whoever dresses her should be fired! However I do love the series. The eye candy that is Barry does not hurt the show either, probably the main reason I watch it to be fair. I thought Donna Air and whoever the played Richie were awful casting as well. I really don't know who does the casting but it's terrible. The only great roles were Barry, Annabel, Deborah. But I've warmed up to the other characters now but hope to whatever the powers be at BBC that the roles for series 3 are cast better.
