The movie gets 2 stars for the action and gore alone. The rest of this movie was trash. I’m not even going to waste time talking about how absolute garbage Cole is. Why is Liu Kang a side character now? He’s supposed to be the main character. Why is scorpion only in the first and last scene? The battle between Scorpion and Sub zero could have been epic. Although in the original they worked together because they were under Shang Tsungs control. Why is ANYONE besides Shang Tsung saying “ flawless victory or fatality”? They could have brought back Cary-Hiroyuki to play Shang Tsung and used technology to make him look young. Shang Tsung is supposed to be intense. This movie introduced a lot of knew characters which would have been exciting had their been an actual tournament and had we gotten a proper introduction. Like they did with Kung Lao. We know he’s related to Liu Kang. Why is there this push to make Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage the main characters? Especially because Johnny Cage died at the beginning of the second movie. Everyone else had to work hard to figure out who to tap into their special talent but Sonya was able to figure hers out in 2.5 seconds...yeah ok I wasted a long time looking forward to this movie.
