It is not the idyllic star trek we have come to know and love. This is an in depth parody about all things trek. There are in depth jokes you only get if you watch ALOT of star trek, IE the female lead telling her male counter part he is now her chadich (spelled wrong i think) a call back to when Worf enlisted his brother in that position, one of a dedicated subordinate. Alot of people think this is not trek enough but you must not be distracted by the gore mildly over the top and loud nature (intentional) to see just how much trek they crammed into this show. Expect to laugh about trek not have an existential thought provoking experience which makes you look inward. Its the first trek for the fun of it series.
