Now I'll be honest here, majority of the people here didn't even finish the game. Infact sone of them didnt even buy it. It's funny. I have found NOT ONE negative revue from a person who isn't a sexist bigot, an unhealthy fanboy who pissed themselves when Joel got hole in 25'd, or someone who has even finished the game.
As someone who actually took the time to play it not once, but twice on new game+. It's amazing. The graphics are beautiful, the animations are the best I've ever seen (including RDR2), the atmosphere is wondrous at moments and intense at others, incredibly immersive, amazing voice acting, horrifyingly realistic, the combat is incredibly fluid, the progression system is well built, and best of all thought provoking. For the people who are mad that Joel's death isn't more poetic, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT! It isnt about Joel's death, it's about Ellie's growth. This game is all about wrath, and how it takes and takes until there isn't anything left. Whether that means Joel's life or Ellie's humanity. And another thing, that entire 8-10 hour segment of you trying to "empathize with Abby". THAT ISN'T WHAT THAT'S THERE FOR! It's there to provide context, that is it. It doesn't matter whether you to sympathize with her or not. This is Ellie's story, NOT YOURS. I'm sorry you've been spoon fed by shows like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones that only paint a picture the audience wants to see (don't quote me on that I know the last season sucked ass). People need to understand that not every non one dimensional character is supposed to be empathized with. It's a real hard hitting story, not a children's book. I'm sorry if you're to little to understand that right now but I'll tell you when you're older.
-Sincerely, A Whiny Fanboy
