I was a bit disappointed. I predicted the twist within the first few minutes of the film, however by the time it occurred it no longer fit with the narrative. Why would Addie be asking her doppelgänger “what you want?” because she would already know the answer to that question. It would’ve made more sense if Addie’s doppelgänger was explaining to the rest of Addie’s family about the underground world and “The Tethered.” It would’ve made more sense if upon home invasion, we began to get hints of Addie’s absence of a soul.
