The reason why I like this book isn't very different from others-Percy. Also, more new characters are introduced like Hazel, Frank, the twelfth legion and especially Praetor Reyna Avila Ramirez Arellano(I have a different level of respect for her). The books in the series are very well written, highly engaging and amazing.

This is the pilot novel in the amazing series 'Heroes of Olympus' which takes place after the events of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. It introduces new protagonists - Jason , Piper and Leo(my favourite) and introduces us to another home for demigods. You will enjoy it(After, of course, you have read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians first, or it won't make complete sense).

It. Is. Awesome. And I just can't stress this enough. I have read this series twice and will read it any number of times with more enthusiasm and eagerness... There are times where I have literally laughed out loud or cried or simply ooooooh-ed at the sheer awesomeness of Percy and his friends... I would definitely suggest to start reading the series with this book.
