Not Amused

The first season was outstanding. I was on the edge of my seat and ended up binge-watching it. Had the show ended with the first season, I would have given Doctor Foster 5 stars easily. The second season had its moments in the first three episodes, but quickly started to lose direction. The ending was awful. The show struggled to find some sort of crumb in the story to tie things up, but it failed. It's almost as if someone said lets put a bunch of random endings in a hat, pick one, and we’ll go with that - and even the fine acting couldn't save it. First season 5 stars, Second season 1 star.
