I went into this film not having watched the earlier films. So I wasn’t able to enjoy the film purely off nostalgia, it needed a strong plot for it to hold up. Unfortunately, I didn’t really enjoy it. Especially the third act, I felt it dragged on 20-30 minutes too long and found myself thinking when was it ending towards the end. The antagonist was really weak as well. Overall not very enjoyable and won’t be rushing back to watch anytime soon.

This is the first Assassin’s Creed I’ve played as I couldn’t play 1 due to it not being available on the newer consoles. Wow, this game, and the trilogy in fact is incredible. I love Ezio as a character, I was invested the entire time. I love the gameplay, the story, everything about this made me fall in love with the AC franchise (although whilst writing this I’ve just finished AC3 and boy was that a let down, let’s hope there aren’t more in the franchise like that). What else can I say, this game is fantastic.
