Possibly Dylan's best album since Blonde on Blonde, he suffered from a bad attack of pericarditis shortly before making this one, at one point he genuinely wondered if he was going to pull through. The songs Tryin' To Get To Heaven & Not Dark Yet have a special relevance, the latter often described as the best song about growing oldever written. Not to mention Make You Feel My Love, forget about Adele's version, I know it sold a million copies & inspired hordes of young girls to emulate her & record the song, no one sings this song better than Dylan himself. He puts all his emotions into this, making it a touching gentle love song, it almost breaks your heart, could be his best song since his own recording of Mr. Tambourine Man. No Dylan collection could be complete without this album. One of the very best.
