Excellent book that covers what other books do not- namely religious beliefs, various bands and their location among the Chiricahua Apache, male tribal leaders as well as details of six very brave and courageous Chiricahua Apache women of the late 19th Century, two of whom have already been written up in Wild West Magazine by the same author. The book covers the six Apache women: Lozen , Dahteste, Ishton, Huera , gouyen and Siki Toclanni. Also includes writeups about the contemporary chieftains: Cochise and his two sons, Naiche and Taza, Victorio and his right-hand man & warrior Nana, Geronimo, Chihuahua, Loco and finally Juh. One will be attended at their bravery in the face of overwhelming odds against them. The book tells it all.
