I laughed and I literally cried! This is my new favorite Christmas movie. I LOVED IT!!! There is a lot of subtext that the current generation will not understand and that is why I suppose there are mixed reviews. It will have to be explained to them I guess and still they most likely will say meh. Kurt Russell was the key factor in making this film a hit and I loved the Elvis impromptu. I was just waiting for him to belt out jailhouse rock but his own style brought the performance over the top. I was laughing and cheering throughout the film. It was heart touching and gave me feelings of the Christmas spirit and it's still only November. I won't ruin the ending by telling you the surprise we were given but it helped me stop crying and started me laughing and cheering all over again. I need to have this movie on DVD and will be watching it over and over again. ENJOY FOLKS and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
