What a truly heartwarming and captivating film. Based on the true story of Munro with some charming embellishments.
Hopkins performance is superb...thoroughly recommended but if you don't know the story don't research it first, it will spoil it.

An excellent portrayal of a difficult subject. A brilliant illusuration of how easy it is to manipulate the masses, especially the young and a clever explanation of the psychology involved.
Those who criticise it for (in their view) trivialising or being comedic about such a serious topic entirely missed the point & message, in my opinion.
A must watch.

A great read with some good narrative but the ending was lacking.
I was really enjoying it thinking I haven't guessed the end (unusual for me) but I hadn't because there wasn't one really...it kind of petered out and was rushed...so much build up ...then nothing Lo just arrives home and that's that. Ok we get to find out that Carrie is alive & likely killed Bulmer but that was pretty obvious, unless you were to assume Anne's body was never found...meh.

In the current climate a must see.
A little difficult to understand accents on occasions and the acting was not amazing but the story of the outbreak comoelling watching.
