As a 17 year old watching this show, a lot of the scenes aren’t off/inaccurate. The backlash surrounding this show is largely from parents and grownups who have failed to understand the true nature of high school. This sign of bargaining and unwillingness to see what some parts of high school lead me to believe that this show is a wake up call for adults and the change we need in television to burst the “PG” bubble surrounding teens. Drug use and sex is, in fact, very common. Viewers either need to come to terms with this fact or stop watching.
