This movie is worth all the hype it got and then some. This movie is not just a spectacular visual experience with MCU standard formula in it, it is a piece of comic book history as only in this movie have all the pieces been set to allow for such a satisfying and engaging experience, especially if you had been a fan of the Tobey Maguire and or Andrew Garfield spidermen.

This movie is a really unique way of telling a comic-book-based story and introducing a new set of mutants for the Marvel/X-men universe. It's part horror part SciFi but still feels like a good fit in the MCU. Each character's backstory was teased enough to garner more interest and curiosity and a showcase of their mutant powers was more than enough to give off that Marvel movie vibe. This is not a Superhero movie but it is one cool dark way to introduce some mutants and it does so without it being taken so seriously or too lightly. (Hope they make the trilogy as originally planned!)
