I was appalled to note TWO subtle endorsements of the BLM organization in your most recent performance. One was on the blouse of your first singer, the second in the lap of the teddybear behind the young guitarist in one of the final acts. Here is one summary of the BLM's purpose and goals: “One look at the BLM organization’s website shows that the idea of protecting black lives and seeking justice is merely a vehicle to advance a different, radical set of ideas. The organization is more dedicated to gaining political power and remaking America according to Marxist ideology,” I would be equally appalled if instead of BLM, MAGA had been displayed on the singer's blouse or the child's teddybear. Unless I see an immediate and public (on all major TV networks) apology for this blatant exploitation of your wonderful show (we've watched every one for the past 20 years), I shall: i) sign and forward petitions to ban any and all future federal support for this show, including use of federal grounds and staff, and ii) sign and forward any petition to deny any and all future federal support for PBS. Trust me, absent your rapid and complete apology I will also do my upmost to see that this becomes a 2020 campaign issue.
