I prayed to the Netfix gods to show this drama. Thankfully they heard my prayer and I was finally able to watch it. It was intense. The story line, cinematography, ost and the character portrayals by the cast were commendable. The drama showed how the difference in social status can strongly affect a relationship, and how true love can transcend obstacles. The Park Bo-gum/ Song Hye-kyo tandem was dynamite. No one could have portrayed the characters better. Bo-gum readily got misty-eyed during emotional scenes and his smiles were electrifying. The way he looked at our heroine with love was so compelling. He looked carefree and free spirited in the first episode, and when he put on his suits and groomed his hair for work, it was game over! His character was warm, kind, sincere and loving; how can anyone not fall in love with him? Hye-kyo portrayed her character flawlessly too. The synergy between these two made the drama so amazing, it sucks you in from first episode to the last, and find yourself rooting and hoping for them. I believe this drama should have garnered an award. Congratulations to the producers and director. It is a must see.

The story was great and the characters were fine. However I did not find the execution satisfactory. The gaps between dialogues were extremely long and dragging. Most of the times, the characters had expressionless faces which were devoid of emotions. I have seen the leading man in other shows that I was happy with, but in this drama, his, as well as the other characters’ acting were listless and flat. At least the kissing was okey which was some consolation. I can therefore blame the directing. The drama was still great to watch though, considering the ups and downs of events that were relatable in real life.
