I enjoy how the movie was closely related to the children's horror classic novels, Scary Stories to tell in the dark.
It was a nostalgia moment for me.
The monsters in the movie were actually depicted from the illustrations from the books.
Extremely high on the creepy factor.
I also admired how the movie tied the background story of Sarah Bellows to the original stories in the books. And I love how they included The Herse Song.
A+ on that.
