Uber boring. This is a hype film that disappoints. The reviewers who have raved on about it must be living on a different planet to me or getting some kick back. At least now i know what Brad Pitts nostrils looks like after all those endless close up shots. This film doesn't touch Event Horizon, Space Odyssey 2001 or Apocalypse Now. And the last scene where he rides through space holding flimsy rectangular shield protecting him from in-flying space rocks is just plain ridiculous. Not sure how all these have been overlooked by all these doe eyed reviewers here. My advice to those who have yet to see, save your money and wait for it to come on Netflix and watch at home. At least you will get a chance to make a cuppa in between. As for the philosophical message, simple: never mind what's in space, look at the here and now and appreciate that.
