For all the people that don't give a hoot about character development, story arc or historical accuracy, you will surely enjoy this. You truly do not need any braincells to enjoy this flick. A decent family film.
This movie severely lacks the intricate wit and intelligence that flourished on its source material's pages. It has completely abandoned the wonderful historical accuracy and richness in detail showcased in the books. It has Enola parading around in a preposterous manner that we're supposed to believe wouldn't get her killed or discovered in a heartbeat. It showcases a ridiculous notion that somehow tries to convey that a truly independant person can lack that much self-awareness and still survive. As if. I expected more from Jack Thorne's writing. I thought he could actually be the one to properly bring our Enola to life on screen. What a tremendous disappointment.
