I just finished this book. I read the first ten chapters in one sitting. The author explains that many events are based on the amazing love story that Gita and Lale endured and survived through together. Even though she explains that the story is fictionalized, this book does have some very important historical facts throughout. I would say it’s a great read and would definitely recommend.
