I really wanted to like this movie , it was great to see my old favourite characters and the house again but the writing was weak and the players were kind of cardboardy copies spitting out expected quips. I couldn't connect with the awkward plot. Tying up loose ends for everyone combined with the distracting Royal Visit storyline was too much .

The beautiful Emily Blunt didn't shine in this role much as I wanted her to. No memorable tunes , weak script , with a weak ending devoid of the emotion or meaning that we connected so strongly with in the original. A few laughs , great art direction and lovely animation helped a little. PS did you really walk right past the Bird Lady like you didn't know her?
