I have put hours on hours of playing this game and yet I learn or see something new every time. The quests, characters, and locations all resonate a quality of role playing that many new games fail to imitate. It also carries over some of the lore from the previous games made by Interplay which is really good for those that appreciate the canon of the game. Overall, this is the game that got me into RPG's and the Fallout franchise, and if you have not played it yet do yourself a favor and pick it up for every system you have like I did because the experiences for this game are timeless.

This is Bethesda at its best besides the Elder Scrolls series. They made a new adaptation of the Interplay Games Fallout and modernized it however followed through in modernizing RPG's and crafting a game that is worth playing by all generations. The gameplay and DLC is fantastic, the lore is worth getting into, and the music broadcasted by Three Dog will always be memorable. Get this game if you have not, you deserve playing an RPG from the Golden Years of those games.

I gave this game the 3 star rating because of the lack of the RPG element I believe it had. Granted I put plenty of hours, played all the DLC and all the alternative endings and yet I felt like there were still elements missing in the final game. The camp creation was fun but in some cases felt forced to get more content. The dialogue is pitiful comparative to the other Fallout games. The companions are okay at best, it was nice they implemented background stories to essentially give them more development. I also enjoy that there are options to modify power armor and guns and the fusion core limit makes sure you are not overpowered all the time defense wise. Many people like it for its more FPS approach, I think this is definitely a more modern approach to the franchise, however it lacks in ways that makes it enjoyable for a Fallout fan such as myself.
