Absolutely terrible! I started my journey to Broadway when I was 4 because of this broadway production! The dancing, the costumes, the music, the overall stage presence was always magical and it inspired me to get into musical theatre! I have the original production on VHS I would continually act this musical out in my living room. This is Broadways longest running show. This movie has destroyed the name of Cats! This is NOT CATS THE MUSICAL this Is taking a masterpiece and turning it into a complete joke! Everything about this movie sucks first the costumes, why would they use CGI when BROADWAY TURNS THEIR ACTORS INTO CATS WITH MAKEUP AND COSTUME DESIGN! CGI says laziness and that’s unacceptable on every level. The broadway show is the instruction manual for the movies based on the shows. The cast is unbelievable it gives no justice to the real actors and singers and dancers who play the parts on the stage. If your gonna watch cats watch the original movie that is the broadway show or go see it on broadway or off broadway on one of its tours. These musicians they claim to have casted in the movie are tone def and obviously cannot sing a broadway range. CATS IS A CLASSICAL MUSICAL where is the orchestra! There is none the music is partially electronic the choreography looks like people who have no idea what they are doing creating dance moves of their own. OLD DEUTERONOMY IS A MALE CAT WTH ARE THEY THINKING CASTING A FEMALE! Again I do NOT encourage anyone to watch this failure of a movie! This WILL NEVER BE CATS!
