Easily one of the worst movies of all time, no exaggeration no joke. It is no wonder the DCEU is dead, they truly had NO clue what they were doing. The Flash is terrible now, if it had been released in 2004, it'd been a bomb then too. Between Justice League and this, Ezra Miller developed a twang that make his performance almost intolerable. He literally swims through time, doesn't run, his entire body is CGI. Flash's powers in the movie are not slightly accurate to the comic - he can just stop time and hang out lmao. The supporting cast are awful, the comic relief is AWFUL. It's campy in all the worst ways. Ben Afflecks Batman is like a charicature in a cheap rubber suit. His butt chin is beyond epic, his cowl truly looks like a cheap rubber piece from the 70s, I mean it literally looks like the vigilante "Batman" that Christian Bale's Batman disarms, he looks like a middle aged man in a cheap costume from Spirit Halloween Stores. They depict him as mentally weak and susceptible to the lasso of truth, which is absurd if you know anything about Batman and his mental fortitude. The amount of bad CGI that looks like it is from 2002 is baffling. I mean the scene with the babies, the time travel scenes - HILARIOUSLY bad cgi. I mean it is BAD lmao. I'm a 30+yr DC fan, comics and more, I waited decades to see Keatons Batman again, and I never got there. Flash is SO bad I had to turn it off during the BTTF tattoo scene, it was just too painful. I hope every single person associated with the making of this film is fired and never works in Hollywood again. There is not one single redeemable aspect of this heap of dog crap. Anyone who enjoyed this movie, who thought it was anything but an absolute travesty - I'd seriously have to question their connection to reality. Like, to think this movie is good or even tolerable, you can't POSSIBLY have ANY understanding of what is accepted/ commonly understood as "good". I cannot stress enough how PAINFULLY bad this movie, and Ezra's performance in particular, are. The absolute bottom of the barrel, as bad as it gets for any movie by any standard.

This has got to be the easiest paycheck of Leo’s career. Is it a good movie? Yes. Is it a disappointment? Yes. I take 1 star away for the ridiculously long run time. This is not a complex story, and there isn’t any lengthy dialogue or a large number of critical scenes to include, it’s just absurdly long for no reason. I take another star away, for what I would call a subpar screenplay/script. Like I mentioned, the dialogue is lacking, character development/backstory/explanation is all rather minimal. The events of the movie are fairly repetitive. Lithgow and Frasier have a couple dozen lines a piece, Jesse Plemons character is written so blandly, I feel sorry for all 3 of them not getting better parts written. Given the subject matter, I can’t imagine they couldn’t find a more intriguing way to portray the events, and by that I mean deeper dialogue, or perhaps if we could invest in the characters a bit more… Either way, it was an excellent depiction of the historical events, the entire cast performed fantastically (with what they were given), but I think it would’ve done better as a 1.5hr Netflix movie, than as a 3.5hr Scorsese film. Literally any director, and (as far as the white roles) could’ve used any actors they wanted, and could’ve told the story just as well if not better. I’d also say this has absolutely Zero Rewatchability. And if you are fully educated on the historical events, and know the story - be prepared to be even more disappointed. Had I had any further understanding of the plot, other than knowing it was about murders of Natives that had wealth from oil - had I known the rest, I probably wouldn’t have gone to see it. It’s just not a story that you need a 3.5hr movie to tell. Not even 2hrs.

Absolutely terrible. They butchered everything.

This movie is absolutely disgusting, and it’s a tragedy the damage it has potentially done to the world, specifically women. The theme of the movie is an obnoxious overbearing woman constantly overstepping every personal boundary a person has, and encouraging her daughter to cheat on two men, simultaneously sleeping with both the entire movie. It very poorly tried to normalize sleeping around whilst in a committed relationship, as if it’s not only ok to sleep with two people at once, but to full on date both of them at once. Not only this, but they spend a great deal of time shaming the victim of the cheating for being upset he was cheated on, and insist that he abandon all self respect because “if he doesn’t, he’ll be alone.” Which in real life, any self respecting man or woman with any common sense would end that relationship, and move on. Because as luck would have it, there is, ya know, more than one person and chance at love, and you don’t have to settle for a selfish cheater and her psychotic mother. Aside from the horrible depiction of dating and family chemistry they try to normalize, the movie makes several jokes about people suffering from depression, suicide, at one point even encouraging the man to either kill hinself or shut up, and the last scene of the movie is them dumping a cake on this man as he strolls along, alone and sad, as seagulls begin to attack him for the cake he’s now covered in. Because, you know, people with problems are losers and it’s fun to laugh at them when you’re the pretty girl like Mandy Moore Or Diane Keaton. This movie was written by, for, and starring, your cliche it-girls who think the rules don’t apply to them, and the rest of the world is there to be at their service or thrown away like garbage. I’d imagine the only people who actually like this film, are the popular girls from high school that got their kicks out of humiliating the less popular kids. Complete, utter, total trash. Mandy Moore should be ashamed of herself. Diane Keaton even more so. 0/5 stars. Actually, it deserves negative stars. There’s no telling how many young woman say this film and thought this is how adults should act, and went out and abused innocent people’s hearts because they figure that’s how you land true love and a wedding ring, cause hey, that’s how Mandy did it, right?!
