NBC has been my network of choice for news for over 50 years. I felt I could count on them to report the news in an unbiased manner. These days it seems that our news media is reporting the news with a spin. When you report news in this manner it shifts from trying to inform to trying to persuade, and that, in my opinion is propaganda.
This morning Savannah's interview of the mayor of Austin hit an all time mark for low brow reporting. She asked him to comment on Ted Cruz's trip to Mexico, giving him a chance to get even. Fortunately he had the integrity to not stoop to that low level that her question was. It was a question that belonged on the Jerry Springer show and not on a news show with any integrity.
Quite frankly, I'm tired of the biased, vindictive and devicive reporting I'm hearing from NBC as well as Fox and CNN. This country will never heal with this kind of rhetoric permeating the airwaves.
I will no longer be watching NBC for my news. I will seek out news that is balanced and who's focus is to inform rather than persuade. If you want to persuade then call it op ed because that's what it is.
I've had enough.
