Finally an AI and graphics upgrade...
Big sim-racing player and I love the feel of the cars in F1 23. You can feel the difference between better teams over slower teams. Cars handle corners well, and car setups make a difference. AI is also improved and cars will defend, give you space, and strategize instead of always taking the racing line.
I planned to buy F1 22, but after playing the demo, and seeing the cringe fest of customizing furniture and micro transactions for clothes I decided not to. Before F1 23 I hadn't bought a new F1 game since F1 2019.
Breaking-point is actually something I enjoy. It adds some drama into the gameplay and still manages to get you familiar with driving the F1 car in different scenarios. The cutscenes also look very good.
One of thie biggest improvements for me besides the car handling is the graphics improvement. It was well needed, and literally F1 2019- to F1 22 didn't look that much different besides clever reflections and shadows.
A couple gripes include simplifying the modes for controlling the battery system. Now there is simply just a "overtake" button instead of various options. A minor gripe would be to allow more helmet and suit designs instead of forcing micros transactions as the ones they offer are pretty bland. But thats EA for you. Overall F1 23 is a good game and I recommend it for anyone that hasn't bought a F1 game for a bit
