Lamento decir que si te gustan las pelis de superhérores y taquilleras, esta peli no te va a gustar. Digo esto, no porque considere que las otras no sean buenas, sino porque el tipo de narrativa que hay en Memoria es muy particular. Muchas veces sentí que esta peli era la unión de imágenes estáticas (muy fotográficas) narrando su espacio autocontenido. Se notó la gran influencia de Tarkovsky y la necesidad por usar el tiempo -muy dilatado- como herramienta para contar una historia. Una historia, que resulta siendo sencilla, pero bastante profunda. Esta pieza está abierta a la contemblación y la experiencia sonora, donde el silencio y el ruido conversab constantemente. Repito, no es para todo el mundo, pero no por ello dejar de ser especial. Como colombiano pude ver características muy particulares de mi país y me parece fascinante presenciar esos lugares tan comunes en mi diario vivir, pero desde la pescpectiva de un extranjero (que entes caso, no es ni estadoundidense ni europeo).

I can't believe it! I think the animation team made a wonderful job. Settings, costumes, objects, hairstyles, color palettes, etc., are stunning. The character building is pretty interesting. As a viewer, you won't be disappointed of seeing their growth. Violet, the main one, is always in touch with life stories - surely, we've all lived one of this at least once-. The characters are charismatic, they make people laugh and cry. You feel sorry for them and you bond to them through their own pain. The narrative takes the time of including past moments -and characters- of the own story, which is a quite nice detail (do not mean about Violet army flashbacks, but the stories told in the anime). I believe this story is well written; it's not oversaturated with a lot of events and meaningless actions, but rather has its rhythm and leads us to the the climax. It mixes emotional elements. They acheieve to manipulate -in a good way- the viewers so they can feel full satisfaction while the whole story is told. Finally and most important, I feel gratefull for this warm trip to different ways of love.

Just GREAT. Deep, real and organic. Creators achieved telling a story and not to cut it in the end as we're used to see nowdays. It's a break from all this suddenly cloyingly happy stories... maybe that's why I felt so connected whit this one. Excellent acting from Julianne Nicholson, and of course Kate Winslet. I'm not the best recognizing american accents, but her work here was just splendid, at least for me. I definitely recommend this miniseries.
