Wow. How amazing...Premise: A bunch of older women form a band for a talent contest. Simple right? Not so, when you have a series written and created by Sally Wainwright ( Happy Valley, et al). Add to that, Joanna Scanlon and every other actor in this beautifully written, fleshed out story. This is not solely a women's story, but a story with protagonists who are female, with intricate lives of sadness, harassment, invisibility and family issues that go deep. Lorraine Ashbourne wails on those drums and Rosalie Craig has amazing pipes. Shout out to Taj Atwal as Nisha ( police) and Johnny Green ( Tom, Joanna Scanlon 's son), for excellent acting. I can't see anyone watching this, not being moved with every emotion. It's great.

4 and 1/2 stars really. What you have here is a wonderful story adapted from a Japanese book. Man, it's good to cry sometimes, and Andrew Scott seems to always convey some sort of sadness; be it " Fleabag" or " Sherlock", amongst others. Much has been made of A.Scott and Paul Mescal's performances, rightly so. But Claire Foy and Jamie Bell are so outstanding as Adam's ( Scott) parents. Bell made me lose it a few times, especially the Christmas tree scene. Please sift through the negative reviews carefully, that seem to be a bunch of homophobic closet cases and sit back and let your mind drink up this wonderfully told and brilliantly acted movie.

This is an excellent show. Each series revolves around one case. Janet King is played by Marta Dusseloff (sp), who is a FANTASTIC actress, ( Jack Irish among others) .The origin is from an Aussie show called, " Crownies". Janet was a senior prosecutor. She has a complicated life. Great co stars. Good story lines.

Fantastic. In Limbo tells the story of Nate and Charlie. Nate died ( not a spoiler, keep your shorts on), and Charlie still sees Nate as he can not "pass over" Which means, Nate, can not get into the after-world, because he is in limbo. A premise, done before? Yes. Has it been done better? 100 percent No. This show is so enjoyable. The reason stands, because 2 of my favorite Aussie actors star. Charlie is played by Ryan Corr...a lot of you may know him from, "Packed...Rafters" or the excellent "Tangle" among others. Bob Morley plays, Nate. I for one discovered Bob from the excellent "Love me" I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful these two play off each other. Not to make this review even longer, Emma Harvie who plays Freya, Nate's widow, along with all the supporting cast are fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend this great series. 6 episodes/30 minutes each. Chefs kiss. Just, Absolutely Wonderful...

Marcella is the name of the lead protagonist of this 3 season series, Who was a cop in London, became a stay at home Mom, and then went back to the Force after suffering a personal loss. Follows are some bullet points of all 3 seasons. Marcella is an emotional wreck Marcella is a great detective and a horrible mother Marcella goes through a lot of coworkers Marcella series 3 is the best, followed by series 1, then 2 Ray Panthaki as Rav is great Anna Friel is a stupendous actor Marcella has the worst husband and makes horrible decisions regarding him Marcella is a decent enough series to fill a void. It's a solid 3.5, but I rounded up, because of acting. ( OH, and the theme song is jarring)

Great show. Only a half hour each episode. Commissioned for a second series, Covid was it's death knell for that. Will Sharpe's Will ( brilliant from " Flowers"), is a barrister in training, I guess you could say. He is shadowing Katherine Parkinson's Caroline at trials. There are also 3 other Barrister wanna bees. The show is funny, well written and acted, and a big shame that Covid killed it.

Hey guys...Pretty engaging. This caught me by surprise at how hooked I was after the first episode. Angelina Ball, ( Emer) the main character is very cool, ballsy and on top of her game in an outshoot of the Shannon ( IRE), police dept. From one circumstance, she ends up working along side the Belgian Police, involving diamond smuggling, murder, corruption, et al. Her nemesis in all this drama is an ice queen named Bibi ( excellent Simone Kirby). The acting is great all around, the story is believable, not as contrived as most, and the pacing is swift.

Just an absolutely beautiful movie. James Norton is one of the best actors today. This heartbreaking tale is of a dying father trying to find suitable candidates/ parent(s)for his young son. The young boy is fantastic ( Daniel Lamont). The empathy for the father, from social workers and folks who know him is, so, Irish, and not overwrought. Just enjoy these amazing performances.

A horrible woman in a small town spreads gossip on a very listened to radio show in small town England. She blames it all on the booze the journalist bought for her at the town pub, but even sober, she is a venomous busy body, who, despite her decent family, can not learn her lesson of keeping her trap shut. Fans ( including me) of Dawn French, skip this. I think producers were hoping for a 2nd season, but I am sure 3/4 of the audience dropped out. She is insufferable. The co stars are very good, including Phil Dunster ( now of Ted Lasso), as Maggie Cole's son. Let's say, I happened to be somewhere when this was on, and I was not in charge of the remote control. Oh, I forgot to add, the town this is filmed in ( Devon and Cornwall), look beautiful.

Man, this is such a great show. The 2nd series starts soon, so you only have to watch 6 brilliant 1/2 hours Gems to catch up on. Kitty Flanagan is Helen Tudor-Fisk, a wills and probate Lawyer in Melbourne. Her office mates @ Gruber & Gruber are all one of a kind. She is restarting her life after her husband dumped her for an older woman. Can you believe that this is one of the highest rated import shows in France? I can. This is a show you will totally recommend to others.
