My girlfriends journal is all about the reflection of our protagonist's day to day life written in a journal but mostly about her religious beliefs and blind faith in jesus. It's a raw, honest journal that reveals feelings most would be loathe to confess. There are moments of great beauty in this journal, wonderful turns of phrases and verses. But after a while it feels like too much of bible verses and so less of the character's journey.
As an adult who has come to very much enjoy journal-like (as well as epistolary) novels, I was satisfied with this read. Don't expect anything deep. I loved the way author described Neha's journey, the people she encountered and her innermost thoughts and beliefs. It felt a little drawn-out in places, but was overall quite a fast paced read.
