Having read the book, as the book of the month for our book club, where I live, I wasn't too upset that I missed most of the movie because of a doctor's appointment. However, I got to see the end of it. The feelings of Bruno's mother totally tugged at my heart. The movie did not quite end as the book did. But Bruno's father got everything he deserved. What part of the movie I was able to see was very intense and worth seeing, even just a few minutes of it. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the Holocaust. IT DID HAPPEN! Let us never forget what the innocent had to suffer.
