Hard to take this show too seriously when the acting is so horrendous. Im not sure if its because the characters personalities were written so blandly or if the producers just couldn't get them to hit their mark while filming. The youngest brothers acting is some of the worst I've ever seen from a child actor. He typically seemed like he was about to start laughing during scenes that weren't supposed to be comical and that he just couldn't take his role too seriously. I know he's just a kid and it may sound harsh but it really takes away from the TV show considering how much air time is given to him.
On a positive note, i think the show has some great sfx and an interesting enough concept to intrigue my fantasy loving soul. Im hoping the acting improves a bit and that the writers give them a bit more to work with. this show still has potential and if the next season falls short, im sure netflix will axe it due to the poor critic reviews from the first.
If you can get past the poor acting and character writing, it will be an entertaining show geared at a more family friendly audience.
