Excellent movie .. after a long time I watched a movie like this. Superb direction and scriptwriting. Shaswata's (Nilkantha) acting should act deep in the viewer's mind (at least what I think). He has played his role so well that after watching this movie, he has become one of my most favorite actors of these days. The story is based on Ritwik Ghatak's life. At that time people of Bengal were deeply involved in communistic ideology and thinking. It also dug out the problems of the prevailing period both politically and realistically. Excellent depiction of the time period .. both symbolically and dramatically ..
