What a waste of time. This was one of the worst books I’ve ever read and such a disappointment by such a gifted author. Childish and inconsequential. The seventh graders I taught years ago could have crafted a better plot. Don’t bother.

Just so bad. Predictable to the point of being silly. How many times can you use the word “fecund” in the first 30% of a novel? Halfway through, I didn’t care what happened to any of the characters in the book. Don’t waste your time.
