Maia Delivers

I don’t know what to think about this movie. I was so excited to see the movie. But in the first 5 min, they go to Vietnam and treat that boy missing a leg as a horrible person even though they speak about everyone treating them bad. Kind of a bad scene. After which how did they looks the same in 1968 and the same in 2020? Also, I get the story is about getting a friend back but they seem to be more focused on getting money and gold out of the country. Also...if the Vietnamese girl is maybe 50 in the movie, did the guy have a relationship with her when she was 5 years old? The time line messed me up, and the plot would have been more meaningful rather then a bunch of vets going back to gold that was intended for poor people in a village. This was a lazy spike Lee movie.
