Awesome movie. As a gear head and racer, it's finally nice to see a car/racing movie that we can relate to. Non of the unrealistic gravity defying stunts from the F and F movies. If your a real car and race guy, you know those movies are bs. This movie gets it right. I was surprised the makers new how the car would react to a heavier engine that is the 427 (less stopping capability/brake fade) Details like that are what separates a good racer movie from a horrendous one. The producers/director did their homework on how a race car actually works. I though Matt Damon portrayed Carroll Shelby perfectly.

Great movie. Accurately told in relation to the real thing. The action was awesome and refreshing to see a real life based action movie. With that being said, you can tell in some areas the cgi was a little much and obvious. Pearl Harbor (2001 movie, which is 19 years old) looked more realistic and less video gamey to me. The tracers are fired every third round in real life. All the tracers from the battleships looked like you were in the middle of the old arcade game ''defender". Understandably though, you have to over exaggerate the action today to keep people watching. Minor flaws in an otherwise great film.
