A show usually has to capture the audience in order to keep them watching. It shouldn't have to wait too long for something exciting to happen. It shouldn't make the audience wait extremely long for little to no payoff. It failed to capture my attention. I gave it a chance episode after episode but no interesting development happens. Real life is more exciting than what this show portrays.
The character didn't bother explaining why she acted the way she did, and neither did she talk about her experience with the abusive nun, in short, she didn't even stand up for herself before running away. And all that trust is placed in what? A cute boy? Irony at its best. This definitely doesn't explain why the halo "chose her". Any other characters showed that they have much more potential with the halo than she did. Typical trope of weak main character becoming stronger because she was the "chosen one".
If you really want this show to be likable, take my advice, skip the first 9 episodes.
