Extraordinarily gripping. I tend not to binge even the best series, but even when I cannot watch, I carry “The Affair’s” characters with me and see them in my mind’s eye. The plot, performances and well-wrought themes require a great deal of emotional fortitude. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth allowing yourself to become part of the narrative, as I have done. I admit I haven’t yet seen Series 4 and 5, so I may have to amend this review, but somehow I doubt it.
