Reeta Boro

This is the most beautiful and enchanting movie I've ever seen and possibly the best work of Studio Ghibli. I cannot express in words how beautiful and soul-gripping this movie was. It starts from a simple fantasy movie about a child born from a bamboo shoots into growing up as the most beautiful princess. But it's more than just that. I felt the joy she felt growing up in nature, living freely with simple people. I felt when she was imprisoned into the life of a noble, the beautiful jewels and clothes and fame clipping her wings. And how in the end she comes to realise how she lost her time to enjoy what she came to earth for. But the loss... how she carried it with her even when she had to leave all her connections to that world. This is truly once in a lifetime movie.

I don't know how to describe this movie. Watching this movie was like sitting in a garden full of flowers, looking at the sky changes from clear blue to a thunderous black and back to clear again. It's beautiful in the way it makes you feel "normal" and makes you feel the terrifying history. The way the story feels is so simple but like a dream, not a good but but not a bad one... a dream that's not good or bad but that peculiarly stays with you. The sad but hopeful, horrible but lovely. You won't regret watching this movie!

Okay I know a lot of people won't agree with me but I just disliked this drama from the very star. Both the protagonists had poor acting skills. They were like robots throughout the episodes. The girl felt like a puppet to me, extremely bland. I know I seem mean but that's how I felt. The plot was good.

Due to it's bad ratings, I always felt it was not worth wasting my time watching it. But today I did and this is a top horror for me. It was so scary and engaging. I did not feel like it was a cliche horror film at all. Ay first I thought it was a psychological horror. I always thought it was like Bird Box. But it's not. It chilled me to the core when I really saw the true face of it. The acting was also phenomenal. Although I was wishing the whole film would take a somewhat sci-fi horror, but it was quiet enjoyable either way. I hope there will be a next season.

Except for the cooking, there's not much good going on in this drama. The plot lacks depth and details, the leads lack chemistry and I felt like all the side characters were only there to show the kindness of female lead. The female lead is good, kind, doesn't get angry or anxious and doesn't even cares to tell the people she has lost her voice to anyone because people might criticize here. The male emperor has only a frowning expression in later stages. How would the audience love the leads when they only show the same set of expression? There was no character progress and the later plot got progressively boring to watch. I didn't even like the acting. More than Wu Jing yan, I hated Xu Kai's acting. Maybe it was because the dialogue they were given were bad but the leads only showed a monotonous expression. In no way the female lead matched Wei ying luo. Both the characters are praised for being clever but actually the female lead is not clever, she's just too boring. I'm a big fan of Yanxi palace and this drama was too disappointing.

This is unpopular opinion but I didn't like this drama. Many scenes seemed too dramatic just for the sake of making audiences emotional. I get that they are kids but some of the decisions they made were so dumb and out of line for the characters. First few episodes were very exciting but it got progressively boring. I get that they wanted to give a depth to every character and what they were going through in their school life but they only ended up making them unlikable. This drama deals with many dark and realistic topics that youngsters face like bullying, teenage pregnancy, corruption and it could have been a better drama if it were a lot more logical without the characters freezing at the most important points and with better character progress.

Don't have words to explain how beautiful this movie was. I ended up wondering how it would've been so different if Ruth actually told the truth? Her sister, the son of the officer and herself would've had a better life but I don't blame her but feel pity for her. Throughout the movie we can see how prison left a mark on her, being always on guard, scared, defensive and the actress did such a phenomenal portrayal of that, the way she flinches and cries and the look of despair... People need to see this, especially her acting. The consequence of her one lie leads to a very long misery for her and all the people related to her. Worth watching.
