Many writers have tried their very best to write stories based on beloved Victorian classics, but Theodora Goss takes it on by storm and leaves us stunned in the best way possible. While one thinks themselves clever to guess what happens at the turn of a page, Goss surprises us with twists and turns and leaves us gaping in wonder. As someone who is *heavily* scrutinizing of media connected to my passions, I'm rather pleased with The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter! I recommend it to anyone who enjoys charming writing, interesting characters, and Victorian literature!
