Overrated, my husband went without me initially and warned me but insisted I wanted to see this movie for myself...I wish I'd listened. Long, boring, forgettable, and inconceivable. The science was hard to follow, the characters lacked dynamics. I suppose the acting was great considering what they had to work, but overall...save your time and money.

It is the best new movie I've seen in months. It's an exceptional action adventure movie and overall, really good for any genre. IMO, oscar worthy for acting, screen play and directing. The negative critic reviews are extremely surprising. The characters.are well developed, the writing is easy to follow but not predictable and there are decent twist in the story that keeps you engaged (literally and figuratively). I guess my hopes that an action movie gets an Oscar nod are dashed but ince again critic reviews don't really carry the feel for the common man.
