Note!
I am amending my previous review which follows this amendation. That review was prompted by my reading 'Psalms'. The other books have not done that. There are multiple contributors to this work and the other books have a wide variety of useful archeological information.
I am in process of reading all the way through this Bible including every note. I must admit that all the references to other 'gods' and the descriptions of and presentations of prayers to them is "Off Putting" to me.
I do not know why they matter and it bugs me.
I thought this to be an archeological study bible not a comparative analysis of the prayers and rituals to 'other gods.'
