want to start off this review by giving John Cena the praise he deserves. He's not credited enough honestly, when he should. John Cena really is a great actor, and his performance in Peacemaker proves it. He actually immersed me in his portrayal of his sadness, to the point where I cried a few times while watching some of his emotional scenes. This series is really going to lead him to getting some more ambitious roles because he really showcased his range. I can't say I was expecting that out of this show so props to John Cena. Now, onto the review. I love how they changed Peacemaker from a stone hearted killer in The Suicide Squad, to a conflicted character in the show. You really understand him more as a person after watching the show. I absolutely loved him directly from The Suicide Squad despite his flaws because I knew there was something more to him deep down, and I was right. I love all of the characters from Vigilante, Harcourt, Economos, Leota Adebayo, etc. John Cena and The Vigilante completely own the screen! They're funny as hell! 😂 It's such a beautiful show in my opinion and James Gunn really hit this one out of the park much like his other work. I absolutely loved the score for this series and the action scenes were beautifully choreographed. Especially in the Season Finale (Episode 8-It's Cow Or Never). That was one of the best battles in the show and Peacemaker was UNSTOPPABLE, with that Peace shield of his. This show is literally like a comic book unfolding right in front of your eyes. James Gunn is so great at what he does. I'm so grateful for this show, and I'm looking forward to season 2. I remember learning about this show releasing a few months ago and when I heard James Gunn was part of it, I had absolutely zero doubts. I have not one complaint for this show. I'm a little sad that the season 1 ended already, but more is to come and I'm so ready for it! There is so much dark themes and comedy
