Baby constantly highlights how each character needs a “secret life” in order to survive and what I take from that is they use their secret life as a coping mechanism for the non-stop drama occurring in their everyday life. Each character faces their own personal struggles of friendship, family, social media, love, sex, drugs and heartache. Although I had to use subtitles due to the original language of this tv show being Italian- the never-ending drama had me eager to see what happens next. Being a teenager myself, I have been waiting for an exciting drama series like this because growing up in high school in todays ever-evolving society is very hard. Baby reminds me that I am not the only teenager overwhelmed with emotions and to always remember that everyone is facing their own personal battles. Overall, the compelling storyline and the perfectly imperfect characters has definitely made this one of my favourite tv shows and I am excited to see what is in-store for season two of Baby.
